Junior Fellowship

BIOS, as a part of its educational programme, has set up these annual Fellowships, open to established Orthopaedic Surgeons (Age 45 and Under) practicing in India.

SELECTION FOR THE FELLOWSHIP

3 fellowships are awarded per year.

The selection of the candidates for the fellowships is based on academic achievement, professional standing and the overall contribution to Orthopaedics and Trauma. Two fellows are selected by the BIOS education committee. The third fellow is selected by the British Indian Orthopaedic Association.

PROVISIONAL PROGRAMME

The fellowship is of two weeks duration. Sponsorship includes economy class airfares from India to UK, official travel within the United Kingdom, accommodation and subsistence. The programme includes visits to UK hospitals, observing surgical procedures and clinical practice and attending the annual Conference of the IOS UK.

HOW TO APPLY

Application forms are made available on this website around winter each year. The successful candidates are notified by email and their names are posted on the website.
