Indian Summer: BOA Congress

11th September 2012 Manchester Central Conference Centre

The Indian Summer event has been a great success. It was attended by over 125 delegates. The scientific content was of a very high standard with giants in the field of Paediatrics; Prof Benjamin Joseph deliberated his lifetime experience on Perthes’ disease; Prof Vrisha Madhuri presented the intricacies in cartilage research and its application in paediatric skeletal disorders. Ashok Rajgopal gave a detailed account of knee replacements for complex deformities. John Mukhopadhaya’s presentation on distal humeral fractures was fascinating. The wisdom and knowledge of the academics from three different continents, Prof Joe Dias from the UK; Prof R Bindra from the USA and Sudhir Warrier from India about distal radius fractures was a feast for all delegates. We had an extremely positive feedback.

The scientific event was followed by an entertaining Bollywood themed dinner at the Renaissance hotel.
